A 23-year-old man has been charged in connection with the theft of catalytic converters in Tonbridge.

Ionut Iorgoiu, from Luton in Bedfordshire, was arrested on July 2 and charged with conspiracy to steal from motor vehicles.

He was remanded in custody until he appeared at Maidstone Magistrates’ Court on July 4.

At the hearing Iorgoiu was further remanded in custody until July 19, when he will again appear before magistrates.
