Emergency services were called to a Maidstone street, where a man died this afternoon.

Paramedics from South East Coast Ambulance Service and police were at the scene at around 1pm on Biddenden Close, just off from the junction with Willington Street.

A spokesman for the ambulance service said: "I can confirm we attended the scene following reports of a medical emergency.

"Sadly, a man was pronounced dead at the scene."

The spokesman added two ambulances and a car had attended the scene.

No further details have been released at this stage.
