Police have launched an investigation into the death of a 50-year-old man who died following a town centre fight.
Four teenagers, one as young as 15, have been arrested after the brawl which broke out in Week Street, Maidstone, last night at around 10.30pm.
The man, from Maidstone, suffered a head injury and was taken to a London hospital where he later died.
A spokesman for Kent Police confirmed the force are investigating the death and are appealing for witnesses.
They said: “Detectives investigating the death of a man in Maidstone have arrested four people.
Officers were called to Week Street, Maidstone at 10.30pm on Friday 29 September following reports of a disturbance.
“A 50-year-old man from Maidstone was taken to a London hospital with a head injury where he subsequently died.
“A 16-year-old, a 15-year-old, an 18-year-old and a 17-year-old, all male from Maidstone were arrested in connection with the incident and are currently in custody.
“Detectives would like to hear from anyone may have witnessed the incident who hasn’t already spoken to officers. Call Kent Police on 101 quoting reference 29-1768.”
