A man who terrorised his neighbours for years, allegedly threatening them and their children, has been kicked out of his home.
The man spent years drunkenly abusing people in Hollingworth Road, Maidstone, before finally being evicted by Maidstone Housing Trust.
The trust initially refused to name the man, saying it did not want him to be “victimised”. But he was named locally as Robert Jarrett, known as Polly.

The trust confirmed Jarrett's name late on Thursday afternoon after pressure from the Kent Messenger.
Neighbours, who asked not to be named for fear of repercussions, said they kept diaries for more than two years in the hope something would be done under anti-social behaviour laws.

Maidstone Housing Trust said it had worked with neighbours, police and local councillor Daniel Moriarty to gather evidence and take the case to court.
The trust’s tenancy advice team leader Lisa Smith said: “This kind of behaviour is unacceptable and, with the essential support of local witnesses, we secured an outcome which should allow the community to carry on with their lives without having to put up with unreasonable behaviour.”

Maidstone Housing Trust said it takes reports of anti-social behaviour issues seriously and actively works with communities to prevent problems.
