A Maidstone man who allegedly held three people against their will has been remanded in custody.
John Barham was arrested just after 11am on Sunday after police were called to a property in Westree Court.
All of the alleged victims had left the address when officers arrived.
The 25-year-old of Quarry Road was later charged with false imprisonment, assault by beating, actual bodily harm and two counts of criminal damage.
Barham appeared at Maidstone Magistrates' Court on Monday and did not enter any pleas.
He was remanded in custody to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Friday, September 18.
