A man in his 50s was left seriously injured when he was struck by a car in a hit and run.
Police have launched an appeal after the the pedestrian was hurt in Mereworth, near Maidstone.
The victim was hit by a white Ford Fiesta.
He had been standing next to a parked articulated lorry in a layby on the A228 Malling Road between the junctions with Tonbridge Road and Kent Street.
The Fiesta left the scene and the man was taken to a local hospital where he was treated for serious injuries.
Police are now appealing for information which could help them track down the car and who was driving.
Investigating officer, PC Michael Potter said: "We would like to hear from anybody who was driving along this stretch of road at around 6.10pm on Thursday, February 20 and witnessed the incident or had dash cam fitted to their vehicle that may have caught an image of the Fiesta."
