Man in court after sex attack in nightclub toilets

A pervert sexually assaulted two women after bursting in on them in toilet cubicles at a Maidstone nightclub, a court heard.

Both victims were left terrified as Deleon Greaves molested them at Mu Mu in Week Street.

One told how she was unable to lock the cubicle and the 28-year-old walked in exposing himself. She later complained he had tried to rape her.

Greaves, of Plaistow, east London, denied two charges of sexual assault but was convicted by a jury. Sentence was adjourned.

One of the women told how she had gone out with a friend and arrived at the club late in the evening. She went to the toilets in the early hours.

“I went into the middle cubicle,” she said. “The door opened. I shouted out I was in there. The accused walked in. His trousers were undone.

“I said: 'Get out, you are in the ladies.’ The man came into the cubicle and locked the door, using force.

The woman added: “He pushed me against the wall and into a corner. He touched me again. I pushed him off and went for the door. I struggled with the lock."

She managed to escape into the main toilet area.

She said: “A friend of the accused was standing by the door. He was laughing and saying: 'What are you doing?’ He said: 'I am in the wrong toilet.’”

The woman said she panicked as she found her friend. She asked her to go outside. “I was upset and shaken up,” she said. “I said: 'Someone has just tried to rape me.’”

A doorman was called and Greaves was arrested. It was when she went to the police station to make a statement that she discovered another woman had been assaulted.

“I was crying,” she said.

Greaves claimed he was not responsible for the assaults.
