Police have released details of a man they wish to speak to regarding a stabbing on Saturday night.

A 20-year-old Maidstone man is in a St Thomas hospital after the incident, which happened around 11.30pm at the junction of St Faith's Street and Station Road.

The victim is in a comfortable condition and has been told by doctors he will make a full recovery.

Following analysis of CCTV images, police are releasing descriptions of three men, believed to be involved, in a bid to bring forward more information.

Detective Constable Wayne Henneker of Maidstone Police said: “The male we are most interested in is described as white, around 20, with short brown hair gelled down straight, and around 5ft 7ins. He was wearing a distinctive blue and orange horizontally striped jumper, black tracksuit bottoms and grey/black trainers. He also has a tattoo of italic writing on the right side of his neck."

Police are also seeking two other men.

One is white, in his early 20s, slim and around 6ft. He has dark brown hair styled in a centre parting and was wearing a black hooded waist length jacket, with a white T-Shirt underneath, faded blue jeans and black and white trainers.

The other is also white, in his mid 20s and around 5ft 6ins. He has short light brown hair, is unshaven and was wearing a white zip up tracksuit jacket with navy sleeves and light blue stripes down either arm.

All three men are believed to live in the Maidstone area and regularly attend KFC and McDonalds on Week Street.
