Man in ‘very serious condition’ after crash outside The Bull in Barming, Maidstone

A man is in a “very serious condition” after suffering “severe head injuries” in a crash involving a motorbike.

Police closed A26 Tonbridge Road in Barming, near Maidstone, following the incident outside The Bull pub.

Emergency services were called at about 2pm and shut the route in both directions between the pub and Glebe Lane.

A spokeswoman for the ambulance service said the man was taken to King's College Hospital in London with “severe head injuries”.

She added he is in a “very serious condition”.

Four police cars were spotted at the scene this afternoon, along with paramedics and a fire engine.

The road reopened at about 7.30pm.
