Police were called to a fight in a popular pub in Loose .

Officers attended The Chequers in Old Loose Hill after a man was knocked unconscious.

He is believed to have injured his head on the pavement as he fell and is still in hospital.

It happened at around 8.20pm on Saturday and a man in his 20s was arrested in connection with the incident in the early hours of Sunday.

He has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

The Chequers pub was contacted but declined to make a comment
