A man had to receive treatment from paramedics following a kitchen fire at his home in Aylesford this morning.

Fire crews attended the Hakwes Road home at 11.50am on Wednesday and left 75 minutes later.

The occupier of the first floor flat was treated for smoke inhalation on the scene by the South East Coast Ambulance Service but was not taken to hospital.
