A man has been tasered by police near the Archbishop's Palace in Maidstone.
At around 2.30pm officers on patrol located two men acting suspiciously in Mill Street, Maidstone.
One of the men was stopped and arrested in connection with drug offences.
The second man was tasered before he entered the river Len and the officers then assisted him onto the riverbank next to Palace Avenue where he was also arrested for drug offences.
A quantity of suspected drugs have been seized. The men remain in police custody.
Shouting could be heard from inside the palace.
Construction firm Logic CP declined to comment on the incident.
