A man suffered minor burns when a bonfire spread to a garage.

The victim, who is believed to be in his 60s, was treated at the house in Symonds Lane, Yalding, by paramedics from South East Coast Ambulance.

Firefighters were called to the home just before 6pm yesterday and spent just over half-an-hour tackling the blaze.
