Market Buildings in Maidstone High Street was sealed off after a man collapsed and died.

Police were called at 10.10am to the archway next to the Muggleton Inn after reports that a man had collapsed.

Emergency services, including the air ambulance, were called, although the air ambulance was eventually stood down.

The man was taken to Maidstone Hospital but was declared dead shortly after.

The 25-year-old man, believed to be from Poland, lived in the Maidstone area.

Police have said they are not treating his death as suspicious.

A post mortem will be carried out.
