The Allington Lodge Freemasons held a fund-raising dinner at the Masonic Centre in Tovil, last month, and raised £1,500 for Help For Heroes. This week the masons were back in Tovil to hand over a cheque to the charity, which supports servicemen and their families.

Edward Prentice, the Help For Heroes volunteer county co-ordinator for Kent accepted the cheque from the worshipful master of the lodge, Colin Horton.
