Medway and Maidstone AC's Tom Collins won the Kent Half-Marathon title with victory in Sunday's Maidstone Half-Marathon.

Collins, the 2008 and 2009 champion, was first home from a field of 700 as defending champion Stephan Wenk, of Maidstone Harriers, pulled out of the race just after half distance.

Collins negotiated the hilly Pilgrims Way to Thurnham section with ease to win the race and Kent title in 1hr11min59sec.

Tom Heslop (Victoria Park, 1:13.47) ran a personal best for second overall and the Kent silver went to Anthony Jackson (Sittingbourne Striders, 1:13.38). Bronze went to Nick Leech (Tunbridge Wells Harriers, 1:16.24).

W40 Tina Oldershaw of Paddock Wood retained her title in 1:21.45, one second slower than her 2011 winning time. She also netted the Kent gold medal from Maria Heslop (Paddock Wood, 1:23.49) and Hazel Vuvi (Dartford Road Runners, 1:26.25).

Larkfield took both the men's and women's team titles.
