Memorial wall damaged

Vandals are believed to have either pushed or kicked down a church memorial wall, causing up to £20,000 of damage.

Police are appealing for information after the damage was discovered at All Saints' Church in High Street, Staplehurst.

It is believed the incident happened between 6pm on Sunday, August 19, and noon on Monday, August 20.

It was reported that around 4ms of the wall had been pushed over. A structural engineer confirmed the damage had been caused intentionally.
The repairs are expected to cost between £5,000 and £20,000.
