Two men have been jailed for four years after plain clothes officers caught them with heroin and crack cocaine in Maidstone.
Jamal Brown, 21, and Justin Forde, 20, were arrested in Hedley Street on October 10 this year.
They admitted possessing cocaine and heroin with intent to supply.
Brown, of Capstone Road, Bromley and Forde, of Cedars Road, Clapham had been approached by officers at around 4pm after they were seen to exchange something with a known drug addict in Holland Road.
Forde and Brown attempted to run away and Brown was arrested at the scene with two small cellophane parcels in the palm of his hand containing heroin. He also had £500 cash, a mobile phone, some wet wipes and a small tub of lubricant.
Forde ran into a nearby car park and appeared to place something down the back of his trousers.
He was arrested and the officers seized a mobile phone and £55 cash. Once in custody, Forde produced 60 wraps of crack cocaine that he had hidden internally.
When analysed, the heroin sized from Brown had a street value of between £400 and £800 and the crack cocaine found on Forde had a street value of between £600 and £1,200.
Brown and Forde were charged, remanded in custody and were subsequently sentenced at Maidstone Crown Court last Friday.
Ch Insp Mick Gardener said: "Two more drug dealers have received a prison sentence for bringing misery to the most vulnerable in our town.
"This along with other recent arrests should send a strong message to anybody who seek to deal drugs in Maidstone that my officers remain vigilant and will bring them to justice at the earliest possible opportunity."
Brown was sentenced to four years and Forde to three years and 11 months.
