TWO men who died after their car hit a tree on a night out have been identified by Kent Police.

They were 44-year-old Keith Hoadley, of Cobfield, Chart Sutton, near Maidstone, and Gary Field, 47, also from Chart Sutton.

They were killed when the black Mitsubishi Lancer they were travelling in crashed on the A274 Sutton Road at Langley, Maidstone, at around 12.30am on Monday, June 25.

Mr Hoadley died unaware that he was about to become a grandfather for an eighth time.

His wife, Lesley, revealed that two of his stepsons were about to become fathers.

Mrs Hoadley, 52, said her husband was a man with a sense of humour and she added: “It’s such a shock.

"It’s heartbreaking for the whole family. I love him with all my heart and I’m going to miss him terribly. He would do anything for anyone. You only had to ask."

Mr Hoadley had two children – Keith Junior, 20, and Zoe, 22; four stepchildren, Lynne, 30, Anthony, 28, Neilly, 23, and Liam, 18, plus six grandchildren.

Two other male passengers in the crash car were taken to Maidstone Hospital with injuries, not believed to be life threatening.

Mrs Hoadley said the four men had been out to a local pub and then to the Orchard Spot in Bearsted, for a boys’ night out before the accident happened.

Mrs Hoadley paid her condolences to the family of Mr Field. She said: “We are thinking of his wife and family as well. It is a loss to everybody."
