A minute's silence will be observed throughout Kent to remember the 52 people killed by suicide bombers 10 years ago.
Terrorist attacks took place in London on July 7, 2005. Three tube trains and a bus were destroyed. The attacks were carried out by four bombers linked to al-Qaeda and carrying rucksacks of explosives.
It was the worse single terrorist atrocity on British soil.
Maidstone businesses have been reminded of the silence, taking place at 11.30am to remember the victims.
A service is also being held at St Paul's Cathedral in London, attended by survivors of the attacks and relatives of the victims.
Earlier today, Prime Minister David Cameron and London Mayor Boris Johnson were among those who laid wreaths in Hyde Park.
