A woman is in a stable condition in hospital this morning after being reported missing from her home yesterday lunchtime.

Ethel Thorn-Fallon, 43, left her address in Boughton Monchelsea at about midday prompting a police search.

Officers were growing increasingly concerned for her welfare and appealed to the public for help just before 8pm.

Mrs Thorn-Fallon was found with severe injuries at around 10pm, she was described as conscious and breathing.

Her condition today is described as serious but stable.
