More streets in the County Town could soon be covered with double yellow lines, in a bid to stop parking at all times.
KCC is proposing to put double yellow lines on South Street and Tonbridge Road in Barming and Castle Road in Maidstone.
In South Street, it wants to place double yellows on the east side from its junction with Tonbridge Road for a distance of 54 metres in a southerly direction, and on the west side from its junction with Tonbridge Road for 43 metres, also in a southerly direction.
In Tonbridge Road, it plans double yellows on the south side between points seven metres west and 14 metres east of its junction with South Street.
Meanwhile, in Castle Road, it plans to place double yellow lines on the northwestern side of the railway bridge on both sides of the road for 30 metres in a northeasterly direction, and on the southeastern side of the railway bridge on both sides of the road for 30 metres in a southwesterly direction.
The public can give their views on the proposals by visiting here for South Street and Tonbridge Road, or here for Castle Road.
The deadline for responses is noon on January 13.
