Motorcyclist taken to hospital with serious injuries after crash in Staceys Street, Maidstone, with pickup truck

A motorcyclist was taken to hospital with serious injuries to his leg after a crash with a pickup truck.

Officers are appealing for witnesses after the incident in Staceys Street, Maidstone, at 9.54pm on Monday, March 17.

It is alleged the pickup truck left the scene prior to officers arriving but a search led to the recovery of a white Mitsubishifrom a nearby street.

A local man in his 20s was arrested in connection to the incident and has since been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Detectives are now seeking help to locate the driver and are appealing for witnesses that have not yet spoken to the police.

Residents with private CCTV or drivers with dashcam, who may have been in the area at the time of the incident, are also asked to check for footage.
