A crash left a female motorcyclist reportedly trapped beneath a car this evening in Maidstone.

The accident happened on Lower Stone Street when a bike collided with a blue BMW at about 6pm.

The motorcyclist was freed from the beneath the car and was treated by an ambulance crew before being taken to hospital.

The road was closed by police, causing traffic to build up in Maidstone town centre, but it is now re-open.
