Angry motorists are complaining that temporary traffic lights installed on a busy road are causing long delays, although no work appears to be going on.

The lights went up on the A20 Ashford Road just outside Maidstone this morning for work by South East Water, reducing the road to one lane.

According to KCC Highways, the work should be completed tomorrow.

One motorist said it had taken him 45 minutes to travel half a mile after being caught in the queue.
