A crash involving a lorry and a car has led to congestion on one of the county's busiest routes.

Traffic has built on the M20 London-bound at Junction 6 for the A229 Blue Bell Hill near Maidstone.

In its peak, three lanes were closed but the vehicles have since been moved to the the hatch markings between the main carriageway and the exit slip road.

All lanes have reopened but traffic is still said to be present in the area.

Police has been asked for more information.
