Motorists were told to expect delays after a trailer flipped over onto its side on a motorway.

Police were called to the scene of the accident on the M20 between junctions eight for Maidstone services and nine for Ashford.

A red Citroen Berlingo was left with its rear suspended while the trailer it was carrying turned onto its side near Lenham.

The incident happened at around 5pm on the coastbound carriageway.

All lanes had reopened and traffic had eased by 6.30pm.
