Family and friends will say their final farewells to "inspirational"Borough Green scout leader Stephen Young on Tuesday, March 9.

The 18-year-old died in a mountain fall in the Scottish Highlands last month, when a "cornice" - a build-up of snow overhanging a ridge - collapsed beneath his feet.

His funeral will be conducted by Canon Brenda Hurd at Rochester Cathedral at 1.15pm.

Canon Hurd said the service of remembrance would be "both a celebration of his life and an opportunity for those who loved him to say goodbye."

Stephen leaves behind his mother, Judy, and grandmother, Pam.
