Emergency services have been called to a collision involving multiple vehicles.

The accident occurred on the A229, Chatham-bound carriageway this afternoon.

The incident was reported to police on Blue Bell Hill at 5.23pm.

Two patients were treated at the scene for various injuries, before one was taken to the Medway Maritime Hospital to treat neck pain.

But by 6.30pm all lanes had been re-opened and the vehicles moved on to the hard shoulder.
