A London man accused of murdering a father outside his home is due in crown court this morning.
Kevin Roach, 39, appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, charged with fatally stabbing Wesley Adyinka, 37, during a fight in Knightrider Street, Maidstone, on Sunday morning.
He’s also accused of causing grievous bodily harm with intent to Amanda Francis during the same incident outside Chaucer House at around midnight.
She was taken to hospital for treatment but has since been discharged.
Roach, of South Norwood, was one of five people arrested over the weekend following the incident.
A 37-year-old man from Croydon, a 27-year-old man from Surrey, a 37-year-old man from Maidstone and a 17-year-old boy from London were all released on bail pending further inquiries.
Friends and neighbours remembered Mr Adyinka as a "godsend", who would "give you the shirt off his back if he needed to".
