A man caught strolling through Maidstone in see-through trousers claimed the police evidence against him was "flimsy".
Serial flasher Robert Jenner – dubbed 'the naked carpenter' – claimed that officers could not see under his mesh leggings.
But the 48-year-old ex-soldier lost his appeal against the conviction at Maidstone Crown Court and will now have to find another £435 in costs.
Jenner had laughed and told police he was "Mr Inappropriate" when he was stopped in St Faith's Street in January 2020 wearing the revealing trousers, without underwear.
He was later jailed for a year for breaching a criminal behaviour order and indecent exposure.
Jenner, formerly of Snodland, gained notoriety as the 'naked carpenter' after doing housework in the nude.
Bodyworn footage from three officers was shown at the appeal but Judge David Griffith-Jones QC – sitting with two magistrates – said it was impossible to see anything because the images were so dark.
But he added that the audio had made it clear that police on patrol had stopped the self-styled naturist because they could see his bottom.
Jenner, a former Hermes driver, was asked by the officers if he had anything underneath the transparent mesh trousers and replied: "Socks."
But he told the judge that he thought the police evidence was "flimsy" and claimed his private parts were covered by a fleece.
Later Jenner, who represented himself during the hearing, said he had not been able to work for "nearly" four years and claimed his van and tools had been seized by police.
He added that he had taken pity on a homeless man but now can't persuade the tenant to leave his home while he is serving another prison sentence for similar offences.
