Reigning British F3 national class champion Jay Bridger has teamed up with Team West-Tec for a shot at the international class title.
Bridger, from Horsmonden, clocked up five wins on the way to his title last season and he’s ready for the step up now as he helps Team West-Tec to develop their new Mygale-Mugen Honda race car.“I’m delighted with the programme that we have confirmed for this season,” said the 21-year-old.
“We aim to be competitive from the word go, even with our new engine and chassis package.”John Miller, co-principal at Team West-Tec said: “Jay certainly made a great impression on us over the last year and we were determined only to enter British F3 if we could secure a quality, talented and experienced driver.
“In Jay we have an asset to the team both on and off the track. His pace is in no doubt to anybody who saw him race last year.”
Round 1 of the F3 championship takes place at Oulton Park on April 13.
