A new convenience shop opens in Maidstone tomorrow.
The Costcutter store in Lower Stone Street is owned by Siva Silva and will create five new jobs.
The shop will offer a range of fresh food and dry goods, frozen foods and alcohol.
Through Costcutter’s wholesale supply deal with Co-op, the shop will also stock over 1,000 Co-op Own Brand products within the store, giving local residents the option of doing a ‘full shop’ closer to
home.
The shop will be officially opened by the Mayor of Maidstone, Cllr Fay Gooch at 10am.
The first 100 customers through the door will receive a goody bag, with a one-in-two chance of winning from a fantastic range of prizes, including vouchers, phone accessories and treats from the store.
There will be face-painting for younger visitors throughout the day.
The store will feature a Costa Coffee machine, Fizzee SnowShock, Rollover Hotdogs, and Urban Eat meal deals
Mr Silva said: "I’m delighted to be able to open the store and provide shoppers with everything they need for a ‘full shop’ right here on their doorstep.
"Now more than ever, I want to support our local community to ensure they have everything they need at this challenging time."
He said: "I’m confident our new range and offering will really appeal to the local community. We can’t wait to hear what our shoppers have to say.”
Mr Silva already has two shops in Maidstone: Miller Food and Wine in Lower Stone Street, and the Premier in Gabriel's Hill. He also has two outlets in Rochester.
The Costcutter store will open from 7am till 11pm every day.
