THE new Corsa ECO makes its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show during September.

The show runs from September 13 to 23.

The Corsa ECO follows hot on the heels of the Astra ECO 4. A combination of modified aerodynamics and use of the Easytronic gearbox means fuel consumption ion the combined cycle is 56.6 mpg. The CO2 emissions figure is 120g/km.

The top speed of the new model is 100mph - four mph more than the standard manual Corsa 1.0.

The Corsa ECO will be launched in Europe next spring - UK entry is not yet confirmed.
