New name for Museum of Kent Life

The Museum of Kent Life near Maidstone is to reopen next month with a new name.

The museum, at Sandling, will reopen on Saturday, April 4 as Kent Life.

It has new indoor and outdoor themed play areas, a coffee bar, re-vamped tea room and admissions area, as well as piglet and ferret racing, donkey rides, lamb feeding, and the chance to feed some of Kent Life's new cuddly friends at Cuddle Corner.

John Jordan, director of Kent Life, said: "I can't wait for people to come and sample the new activities and entertainments, not to mention the new array of animals for people to interact with."
