Nigel Farage is visiting Kent next week ahead of the county council elections.
It comes as an Electoral Calculus poll predicts the Conservatives are set to lose control of the local authority to Reform UK.
Farage, who has been the party leader since 2024, is due to speak at the Kent Event Centre in Detling, near Maidstone, on Monday (March 31).
It will be a chance for supporters of Reform UK to meet the candidates standing in this year’s Kent County Council (KCC) elections on May 1.
Speaking ahead of the event, Farage said: “The local elections are fast approaching and Reform UK will be standing in every single seat across Kent to give local people a genuine alternative to vote for.
“This event will be the perfect chance for residents to meet their candidates and find out exactly how Reform will get Kent back on track.
“Kent is broken. Reform will fix it.”
Doors will open at 5pm with speeches scheduled to start at 6.30pm. Tickets cost £3 and can be bought here.
According to Electoral Calculus, the Tories are likely to suffer “significant losses” across the board in England.
The pollster predicts that in Kent, Reform UK will take control of the county council, however, many observers doubt the findings.
Conservative councillor Andrew Kennedy discounted them as “out of date,” claiming his party’s own data suggested a potential drift to the Tories from Reform UK in Kent.
Elsewhere in England, Electoral Calculus data predicts Reform will take control of Derbyshire, Doncaster, Durham, Suffolk and Thurrock.
It is also expected to be the largest party in Norfolk, Essex, Staffordshire, Nottinghamshire, Northumberland and Lancashire.
