An out of control bonfire is thought to have sparked a blaze that saw a shed go up in flames.
Two fire engines were sent to Queens Road, Maidstone, at about 2.20pm today.
The bonfire spread to the shed prompting a warning for people to "take extra care" when lighting them.
A fire service spokesman said: "The shed was well alight on arrival. Crews used hose reel jets to extinguish the flames."
They added: "Firefighters are reminding everyone to take extra care when lighting bonfires.
"You should never leave them unattended and light them well away from sheds, trees, rubbish, buildings and foliage.
"You should also keep it to a manageable size and evenly built, so that it collapses inwards as it burns."
Crews had left Queens Road by about 3pm.
