An overheating computer sparked a blaze at a home this morning.

Fire crews were called to Charlton Street, Maidstone , at 9.54am.

A spokesman for the service described the incident as a "small electrical fire".

Two fire engines attended and crews wore breathing apparatus to enter the property.

They used hose reel jets to extinguish the flames.

No casualties were reported and they left the scene 25 minutes later.
