Part of the M20 will be closed overnight next week.

Highways England will close the London-bound carriageway between junction 5 for Aylesford and 4 for Leybourne at 8pm on Thursday, May 7.

It will reopen at 6am on Friday May 8.

The coast-bound stretch will be closed from 8pm on Friday, May 8 until 6am on Saturday, May 9.

The closures are being introduced to install some new traffic loops.

These are placed under the road surface and are used to monitor how many cars are on the road.

A signed diversion will take motorists along the A20.
