Tina Oldershaw, of Paddock Wood AC, retained her Bewl 15 women's title on Sunday, improving on last year's time.

She ran a circuit of the Bewl Water reservoir in 1hr 40min 48sec, which was was a minute faster than her 2011 winning time, and resulted in 14th place overall.

Daniel Anderson (1:31.08, Hastings) won from over 600 finishers and the leading locals were Larkfield’s M40 Martin Taylor (5th, 1:36.46) and Nathan Chapman (10th, 1:39.14).

The dominance of Oldershaw (pictured) was illustrated by the runner-up in the women’s race, W40 Sam Alvarez (1:48.49, Hailsham), being over a mile behind at the finish.
