Police called after Maidstone men reportedly stole tiles from White Horse Inn in Lenham

Two men have been arrested after allegedly stealing tiles from the roof of a disused pub near Lenham.

The police helicopter was called to assist officers at the White Horse Inn, in Lenham Heath Road, shortly after 6pm yesterday.

The pair, aged 23 and 21 and from Maidstone, were arrested at the scene.

They have been bailed, pending further inquiries, until Tuesday, July 12.
