Autumn has just begun but stars stepped onto the stage at the Hazlitt Arts Centre in Maidstone this week in preparation for Christmas.
There was plenty of glitter and outlandish costumes at the venue in Earl Street when CBeebies star Cerrie Burnell and Keith Jack from Any Dream Will Do were among those who gathered for the official launch of Dick Whittington, which will don its high heels and stage make-up for its opening night on Friday, December 6.
Producer Gary Telfer from Blue Genie Productions said: “We have a great cast this year. Dick Whittington is the traditional panto that people over the years love and it has got a bit of everything in it. It is magical; it is traditional; it has got a Dame and you have got your baddie in it too. There is a bit of everything in it.”
The show will run until Sunday, January 5. To book tickets call the box office on 01622 758611 or visit www.maidstonepanto.co.uk
