Part of a busy town centre road has closed for emergency repair works.

Lane four of the Broadway Bridge in Maidstone, heading round the one-way system towards Asda and TK Maxx, is currently shut.

Drivers are being told to expect delays while Southern Gas Network carry out repairs.

Two vans are currently stopped on the right side of the bridge, with the lanes towards Tonbridge Road clear, while staff look for a fix.

It is expected to get busier as school traffic builds.
