A failed electricity supply to a train approaching a major London railway station left passengers stranded for hours.
Customers trying to get to and from Kent are stuck on platforms with trains at a standstill.
According to Southeastern, problems started at around 9.20am when a service from Dover Priory broke down just outside London Victoria preventing platforms 6, 7 or 8 from being used.
The train became 'gapped' meaning that the train is stuck over part of the track which does not have a power supply. The part of the train that draws power from the electric rails is over that gap.
However, it has started moving to Clapham High Street Station, where the driver will then change ends, and take the train in to London Victoria.
To make matters worse, the 11:20 Gravesend to London Victoria has also become gapped on the way in to London and the 10:18 from Dover Priory to London Victoria has been stuck behind the failed service from Gravesend.
Trains eventually started moving after 3pm.
