Bus window smashed in Maidstone crash

Passengers on board a bus were cared for by paramedics after a crash involving a lorry this afternoon.

Police and ambulance crews were called to Romney Place in Maidstone at around 1pm.

Although the lorry, which was reportedly stationary during the collision, was able to drive away, the bus remained at the scene for nearly two hours.

The area has since been cleared.

No serious injuries have been reported.

A spokesperson from Secamb said: "We responded at 12.57pm to a collision between a bus carrying children and a lorry at Romney Place, Maidstone.

"Two cars and an ambulance were sent but all were treated on scene for minor injuries."
