A pensioner was left trapped in his vehicle after a crash near Maidstone's prison today.

The accident happened on County Road just after 8.30am this morning when a car crashed into a wall near a private car park.

Emergency services were called to the scene and the man was freed by firefighters.

He is not believed to have been seriously injured and was treated at the scene.
