Offices, shops and schools will fall silent at 11am today in solemn remembrance of our war dead.
Thousands will join the nation in tribute on 91 anniversary of the end of the First World War.
Audley Mote House, with the support of Maidstone Town Centre Management, will mark Armistice Day at The Mall Chequers shopping centre, Maidstone, with two minutes' silence at 11am.
The Royal British Legion will perform a Poppy drop whilst a bugler from 36 Engineer Regiment will sound Last Post.
Other representatives of 36 Engineers will attend, as well as Maidstone Mayor Cllr Peter Parvin and Ivor Owen, chairman of Maidstone Royal British Legion.
After the commemoration, guests will be invited to a lunch hosted at Mote House Retirement Village, Mote Park, Maidstone, which in the past was commandeered by the British Armed Forces as a headquarters and training facility during the Second World War.
