Members of a school project have refused to give-up hope after they lost the chance to win up to £50,000.
Holmesdale Technology College, in Malling Road, Snodland, competed on People's Millions in a bid to win the grant for their Bunker Project.
If they had been successful on the programme, the money would have been spent on converting a Second World War air raid shelter, on the school's site, into a bike workshop for the whole community.
The group, which has support from Kent Police, lost out on the public vote to the other constestant but are still determined to find the funding.
Sue Ricketts, of the Bunker Project, said: "Unfortunately we were unsuccessful in the public vote and the project cannot go ahead without the funding.
"We are still in with a chance to win a bonus award on Friday (November 26) as the highest runner up and I will of course continue to look for other funding sources.
"Our project has so much impetus and we really believe it will make a difference to our community."
People's Millions, which is supported by the National Lottery's Big Lottery Fund, is aired on ITV's Meridian News at 6pm.
