One person was rescued from a blazing home after a fire broke out in Kings Hill.

Other people had already managed to leave the house when fire crews arrived at the scene in Spitfire Road just after 9.15pm yesterday. All were taken to hospital.

Four engines were sent to the scene and left more than two hours later. Kent Police also attended.

The cause of the fire is not known at this stage.
