A new night club is set to open at a once popular venue.
Work is currently under way to get Ovation open at the site which was once home to Strawberry Moons in Gabriels Hill in Maidstone.
The club has been billed as a show bar which will entertain crowds with live music and cabaret shows on the ground floor with the above two floors being filled with a nightclub.
The live lounge will have a carnival theme and theatre-style red curtains to add to “The Greatest Showman meets Maidstone’s night life” feel which director of Epic Bars and Clubs; the company behind the venture, Duncan Squires, hopes to bring to the venue.
Guests will also be permitted in certain areas to dance on the furniture in an attempt to feel more part of the atmosphere and add to the social feel of the place.
The nightclub will be made up of two rooms open from 10pm until 4am. The roof terrace bar will be open from 7pm-4am.
Duncan said: “We are so thrilled to be opening our new Ovation Complex in Maidstone.
“Over the last few years we have opened 16 other nightclubs and bars around the country but this is our first show bar and nightclub under one roof.
“We think this is the perfect place for this new venue and there’s a real buzz within the team to get this open for the town.”
The new business venture is taking over from Madison’s, a bar and restaurant which suddenly closed on August 1, 2022, despite having only opened two years prior.
Before Madison’s the site was home to Strawberry Moons which was a popular destination for nightlife until it met its end in 2017.
Now Ovation hopes to keep the location’s entertainment legacy alive as it looks to open its doors on July 28.
Construction is still taking place and is set to be completed by July 21.
Epic Bars and Clubs also parent other chains including the Trilogy Nightclubs, Labyrinth Nightclubs and Home & Botanic Nightclubs.
